Impossible Commute (Japanese title: 出社無理ゲー) — iPhone app
Effective date: August 1, 2026 · Last updated: August 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in Impossible Commute (Japanese title: 出社無理ゲー; the "App"), an iPhone application provided by Yuya Sato (the "Developer"). It covers the App as distributed on the App Store and any support inquiries about it.
2. Information the Developer Collects
The Developer collects no information about you through the App.
The App contains no mechanism for sending information to the Developer — no server, no API calls, no analytics tool, no crash-reporting tool, and no advertising. It does not obtain your name, email address, phone number, address, user ID, device identifier, advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, location, contacts, calendar, photos, audio, or health data.
However, "the Developer does not collect" is not the same as "no information goes anywhere." Some information is stored on your device, and some information may reach outside services through actions you choose to take. Each case is described below.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores your game records only on your iPhone, in the standard iOS storage area (UserDefaults). The stored items are:
| Stored item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Total number of deaths | Display on the title screen, in-game HUD, and shared image |
| Best time for Stage 1 | Display on the title screen; detecting a new record |
| Whether Stage 1 has been cleared | Record keeping |
| Plays remaining today | Managing the three-plays-per-day limit |
| Date the play count was last reset | Determining the 5:00 AM reset |
| App version and date of the last review prompt | Spacing out review prompts so they are not shown too often |
- These items consist solely of game numbers and dates and contain nothing that identifies you.
- Retention: stored until you delete the App. There is no retention period managed on the Developer's side.
- Deletion: deleting the App from your device erases these records. There is no feature for deleting individual items.
- If you use your device's backup feature (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), these records may be included in the backup. That backup is under your own Apple ID or your own computer, and the Developer cannot access it.
4. Device Permissions
The App requests no iOS permissions at all. It does not use the camera, photos, microphone, speech recognition, location, contacts, calendars, reminders, health data, Bluetooth, motion data, Face ID, push notifications, or App Tracking Transparency.
One exception: if you choose an action such as "Save Image" in the standard iOS share sheet, iOS may ask for permission to add the image to your photo library. That prompt is provided and managed by iOS, and granting it does not allow the Developer to see your photos.
Sound effects and music are synthesized in code; the App uses neither audio files nor the microphone.
5. Information Sent Outside Through Sharing
- Tapping "Share" on the death or clear screen generates a result image on your iPhone and opens the standard iOS share sheet.
- The image contains the character artwork, the death line or clear time, your total death count, the game title, and the X account name @damerimankun. It contains no location data and no device information.
- The image and post text are never sent to the Developer. They go only to the app or recipient you select in the share sheet, such as X, Messages, or Mail.
- After that, the information is handled under the terms and privacy policy of the receiving service.
6. External Links
The follow button on the title screen opens the X profile page (https://x.com/damerimankun) in Safari or the X app. Information handling on that page is governed by the privacy policy of X Corp. The Developer has no way of knowing whether you opened the link.
7. Advertising, Analytics, and Third-Party SDKs
The App does not include a single third-party SDK. Specifically, none of the following are used:
- advertising (e.g. Google AdMob);
- analytics or usage measurement (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics);
- crash reporting (e.g. Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry);
- attribution or ad-performance measurement (e.g. AppsFlyer, Adjust);
- purchase management, authentication, push notification, or AI services.
The App is built entirely from Apple's own frameworks (UIKit, SpriteKit, AVFoundation, StoreKit, and similar). It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
8. Information Apple and iOS Collect
Although the Developer collects nothing, distributing an app through the App Store means Apple collects certain information. Apple obtains and manages this information; the Developer never receives it in a form that identifies an individual.
| Information | Collected by | What the Developer can see |
|---|---|---|
| Records of app downloads | Apple | Aggregate download counts by country and period only; no individual can be identified |
| Crash logs and usage data (only if you have turned sharing on under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements) | Apple | Aggregate statistics processed so that individuals cannot be identified |
| App Store ratings and reviews | Apple | The review text and nickname as published on the App Store — public information visible to anyone |
- On rare occasions after clearing a stage, the App may display the standard iOS review prompt. This is an Apple-provided feature, and Apple itself limits how often it appears. The Developer cannot know whether the prompt was actually shown or whether a review was submitted.
- You can stop sending analytics to Apple at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
- For how Apple handles information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
9. Information Received Through Inquiries
- What is received: if you contact the Developer by email — your sender email address, your name if you provide it, the content of your inquiry, and any device or OS details you choose to include.
- Purpose of use: solely to reply to your inquiry and to investigate and fix defects. It is not used for any other purpose.
- Disclosure to third parties: none, except where disclosure is required by law.
- Where it is stored: the contact address uses Gmail, provided by Google LLC, so your email is stored on servers operated by Google, including servers outside Japan. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
- Retention: deleted once the inquiry is resolved and there is no further need to refer to it (as a guide, within one year).
- Deletion and access: contact the address below and the Developer will delete, disclose, or correct the email you sent.
10. Children
- The App is not in the App Store Kids category and is not designed for any specific age group of children.
- The App does not ask for or collect your age or date of birth. Because the Developer collects no information at all, no personal information of children is collected either.
- If a child uses the App, please note that it includes a sharing feature that can post to social media and an external link that opens X from the title screen, and supervise accordingly. iOS Screen Time can be used to restrict external links and app usage.
11. Use From Outside Japan
- The App sends no information to any server operated by the Developer, and the Developer holds no personal data about users. Consequently the Developer makes no international transfer of personal data.
- Requests for access, rectification, erasure, or portability under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK data protection law, or U.S. state privacy laws generally have no corresponding data held by the Developer. The records on your device can be erased by you at any time by deleting the App.
- The one exception is the inquiry email described in Section 9, which the Developer does hold. For that, contact the address below and the Developer will delete, disclose, or correct it.
- The Developer does not sell or share personal data and does not provide it for advertising purposes.
12. Security
- The strongest safeguard is the design itself: the App collects nothing and has no mechanism for sending information outside. The Developer operates no server and no database.
- Records stored on your device sit in the per-app protected storage provided by iOS and cannot be read by other apps.
- The mail account used for inquiries has two-factor authentication enabled.
- That said, no method of transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Changes to This Policy
- This Policy may be revised to reflect changes in law or in the App's features.
- A revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page. For significant changes, the "Last updated" date will be revised and notice will be given, for example in the App Store "What's New" section.
